This is a hard drive cloning kit is for Porsche PCM systems using the IDE style drive. Updating your drive will prevent your old potentially 17+ year old hard drive from becoming corrupted making your PCM unusable due to “Boot Loop” where the PCM will restart over and over and over. This will NOT fix your PCM if it is already experiencing Boot Loop.

This upgrade can be done as a singular repair or coupled with the Mr12Volt Carplay / Android Auto upgrade as the PCM is already out and the hard drive, mounted to the case of the PCM, is very accessible.
